Cinematography/Videography
While editing is my forte, recently I discovered that I enjoy picking up a camera to capture a shot just as much.
While I did receive training in cinematography at my time at Full Sail University, I don't believe anything I learned there ever compares to the hands on experience I received working in the real world.
After a couple of years of filming on my phone I decided that if I wanted this skill to improve I was going to have to buy my own camera and film as much as possible to make sure as many mistakes happen on my own rather than with a client or with paid work.
When the Sony a7iii was getting great reviews on social media, the real apeal was it's God-teir low light sensor. As someone who was still getting hands on experience and doing a lot of guerrilla shooting, having to worry less about lighting and put more focus into composition really helped me hone each of those skill individually.
